Morning all

After getting fed up with my 2017 MBP having issues (back with Apple, AGAIN) I’ve sold it and I’m going to buy myself another Mini; either a 2012 i7 (tried and tested as owned one before and it was a great Mac) or I may treat myself to a new 2018 version (i3, 128GB SSD etc)

All I use my Mac for is simple personal & work stuff (so emails, MS Office, PDFs, Chrome/Safari browsing, YouTube and iTunes etc); I don’t game or do any picture/video editing etc

I’m after a 21.5-24” monitor; HDMI ideally for the simple plug n play; doesn’t need speakers, but I’d like as best quality I can get, for c£200 and less, again, ideally

There’s all sorts on Amazon, ranging from £89 to £hundreds...!

So any recommendations would be gratefully received; thanks :)

I was using a HP 25f monitor. It was great. But, I got a great deal on a 27" Cinema Display and 27" Thunderbolt Display that I am going to use with my 2012 Mac mini and 2015 rMBP. The HP connects via HDMI and is a slick looking monitor with slim bezels, and it happens to be one of the slimmest monitors on the market.

Thanks.

I’m all sorted now; ended up buying a 2018 Mac Mini and I’m using a 24” Dell P2418D monitor, connected via DP and it’s an excellent monitor

I don’t game nor do I do any photo/video editing, so it’s perfect for my needs. It’s a really good picture and great for YouTube vids and so on :)

I’m going to run an Acer XR382CQK here. It’s the same panel as the LG 38WK95C: 38” curved ultra wide 3840x1600.

I am using a Dell UltraSharp U2518D screen, connecting to the 2018 Mac mini with Belkin's HDMI cable. Currently, I am having a problem that sometimes the screen is suddenly turned off and then come back immediately, I don't know how to describe it correctly. Has anyone encountered this situation yet, and how to fix it, I have searched on Techgara, Google, 9to5 but still have no answers. Is it a screen error? Please help.

If 4k display is not important to you, the Dell S2718D is a good option also since it has a USB-C connection.
