I currently have an ageing Herschel Little America Plus Series which they no longer make (the plus series as internal pockets and fleece lined tablet pocket).

So looking for a new work bag to replace this one. I have the new shape 15" MBP and the smaller iPad Pro (upgrading to 11" from 9.7" tomorrow).

My current bag fits both devices snugly, both devices are well protected and I'd like to have something similar in the new bag. Can be rucksack or messenger.

My wife and I have both had Crumpler bags for a number of years. Mine (a backpack that fits a 17" MBP, and has a space (with hold-down straps) for 1-2 changes of clothes) has been with me from Melbourne, to Thailand to California (and back of course).

Nice, easy to use zips, adaptable straps (e.g. you can swap on differnet strap and convert it to a - admittedly bulky - shoulder bag and zip up the two regular should traps). They don't sell it any more I don't think, but I'd definitely give them a look if I needed a new one.

I carry a Waterfield Cozmo; it has a pocket for my 13 MBP and my new 11 iPP. https://www.sfbags.com/collections/laptop-bags/products/cozmo-2-laptop-bag

Yes, they are expensive. But I love the look and feel of quality leather, and when I finally broke down and got a MBP in February instead of yet another Windows laptop, I decided to get a quality bag as well. This was what I settled on; many MacRumors regulars had recommended Waterfield, and so I took a leap of faith.

If you don't like the Cozmo, they have a number of other options.
