Hi.

I have just ordered a new mbp2011 17".

And i would like recommendations about upgrade memory kit and a ssd disk between 200-280 gb. I got my sister studying in new york and she has all-ready ordered for my. And I going in a few days to visit her and I'll take it with me back :).

I would like to ordered from Internet, any recommendations would be appreciated Brands, and places for to order from.

Any other upgrades like and optybay or other things like bags or you would think it's interesting it would be appreciated.

Thx in advance.

Hi again.

Anyone knows a good ssd to buy. I'm going to USA in 1 day :).

Thx in advance.

Hands down the OWC drives from Macsales, their OWC Mercury line. Several of the Cisco engineers in Minneapolis have them, and haven't heard of any complaints from the engineers I know.

Those ones are sata ii, aren't better sata iii crucial ?

Thx again.

Yes, I`m interested in it too. Dear NYC citizens, couldn`t you name non-internet shops where I can just come and buy Crucial SSD and memory :)

My experience with the Crucial C300 256GB was nightmare!!! Tried partition & format then clean install of MacOS-17" 2011 MBP would not boot.

Next switched drives back & cloned to Crucial, still would not boot on reinstall-tried everything I could on the Crucial forums & here-still would not boot. Works for some I know, but maybe safer with SATA II?

Enjoy your trip & new machine.
