I like to have "build" type games where you gradually build and expand a virtual... whatever (town, kingdom, farm, etc.), but so many of them have elements that I don't like, such as having to defend territory/resources(1), real-time management(2), or mandatory paywalls(3). I don't mind timers or even scarce resources, as long as consistent play in small doses can overcome them.

Anyone got recommendations for good city/world/whatever builders that fit this kind of description?

(1), (2) These are fun in some games, but not what I'm looking for here.

(3) F2P is fine, I'm even OK with exclusive paid content/expansions/etc., but not paywalls that make the game unplayable unless you keep paying and paying.
