I'm aware it is the same material as the smart folio keyboard, so I'm sure some of you have plenty of experience with that already. I'm wondering if there has been any proven solutions to keep this case clean without damaging or wearing out the material? Do you use some mild soap or just water? And what kind of cloth have you use?

My keyboard has been taken care of perfectly but I'm already noticing it pick up little things here and there very easily. Little specks seem to leave a lasting imprint and I don't want to scratch them off with my finger.

I use a glass cleaner cloth which works fine. The main keyboard it’s pretty much mark free it’s just the main cover when you close it is prone to dust marks but a small bit of water gets rid of this but not sure if I should be doing that or not.

yes this material picks up marks incredibly easIly. Apple shouldn’t have used it in my view as they‘re just storing up problems for themselves later down the line.

just remember, they wont fix or replace it if its just cosmetic (when out of the return window that is). now if the hinge is not working correctly thats a different story.

They're not storing up problems for themselves but for the consumer who will have to re-buy the product to keep it looking halfway decent. Leather, even a faux leather would've been so much nicer.

I more meant in terms of poor publicity if this becomes a widespread problem, rather like the butterfly keybaords

Ive already noticed a wear line on the covering of the primary hinge. I have had this thing 24 hours and it already has an indelible(you can’t just casually brush it off) mark from using it on a desk. I too am disappointed in the choice of covering. Sure it feels nice, but it isnt exactly durable.
