The power supply on my itunes library external hard drive died. I am looking for a very reasonably priced replacement. It was a Seagate desktop external 3GB and had a stand alone power source (did not run off the usb connection). I'm not even 100% sure the drive is OK, thus the desire for the cheapest alternative. Frankly it doesn't even have to be an enclosure, just a bare wire would probably suffice to ensure the drive is working and get to the data. Yes, I have backups (thank goodness), but they were a week or two old and there are some files that I'd like to get if I can. Can anyone recommend the least expensive alternative at Amazon that will accomplish this objective? The assortment of connectors is a little bewildering to me.

Thanks for any assistance
