Recommendations for really good external speakers for my new 24" M1

Hello! I'm really in to good sound and want to hook up external speakers to my new M1 24" but can't find any that are compatible. Prefer separate sub, treble/ base levels. Appreciate any suggestions. Thx!

There’s nothing special about the headphone jack on the iMac. Any computer speakers that get good reviews will work with the iMac.

Is your listening priority sitting in front of the computer/speakers or is it more important for the sound to be "whole room"?

What is your budget?

To clarify…you want stereo speakers plus a subwoofer? And…you want some sort of minimal equalization controls?
