Recommendations: Logo Design and Invoicing software?

Anyone have recommendations for software for logo design and/or invoicing? I was at the Apple store the other day and saw a couple that looked good but I figured I'd look into what else is out there before getting the ones they carry. Thanks in advance!

Invoicing software:
I've heard lots of good things about Billings 3:

Logo design:
I don't know if there are any dedicated logo design apps out there, I guess most designers use Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop or something similar. You'll want to get a vector-based app so that you can scale the logo to different sizes (for letterhead, business card, website, ...) and maintain its quality.
