I have an iMac version 10.4.10, 2GHz Intel Core Duo, 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (I added 2 GBs) and I'm gonna be getting Final Cut Express. Most of what I'll be doing is making short informational/educational videos but probably some more "fun" videos as well. There are a few "special" effects I'd like to be able to do, like put a thought bubble over someone's head, put a sparkle in their smile, etc. in addition to the effects/filters that come with the program. I also heard about a Pleasantville effect and Shake (which makes shaky film not shaky) that would be cool to have as well.
Can anyone recommend a place where I could find effects plugins like these?
I'd also love to get recommendations for other plugins you think I should get.
PS my budget is probably ~$200-300 (preferrably less) for additional plugins, etc.
