I just managed to run an HDMI cable from my 27" iMac to my TV in my adjacent living room. The plan is to play some vidya games and perhaps enjoy some other media content through this new set up. (One day, I will perhaps get an AppleTV, but for gaming, HDMI seemed safer. But that's besides the point...)
The OS X options for managing multiple displays are rather basic, as far as I can tell. Can anyone recommend any software that adds some good features to the experience? For example, it would be great to simply assign certain apps to launch full-screen in the external, such as to avoid mirroring and even having to swap primary display designation back and forth.
Thanks for your time.
