I just reenabled the dashboard after a long time in no use land, and it's been a while - so I was wondering, besides the default installed Widgets, what are some useful ones out there?

I used to hate Dashboard but I figure I'll give it one more shot.

iStat nano (systat nano or something like that before). Unless you have intel or old computers, it should work fine.

I did download iStat Pro because it's free and has a pink skin, anyways - just a quick q - are these temps in ºF or ºC?

hit the "i" in the corner, i believe you can change it to whatever you want

nano does give that option. ill check on pro.

EDIT: Pro is in Cº. Checked it vs nano. There is no option in pro to change from Fº to Cº. Guess they think PRO's will use it, and most PRO's use Cº (to my knowledge)

My favourites are an iTunes Alarm Clock and a SudokuFun. The one I use most though is the Dictionary widget - it's very convenient.

Ditto that. I use the dictionary widget dozens of time a day, I'm home-schooled and work on my Mac in the day a lot so it comes in handy when doing science, english, ect.

i don't get the widgets that just launch websites when you click them. If I wanted to open a browser I would.

Dashdock is my favorite 3rd party widget.

I mostly use the weather widget and the stocks widget

Some funny widgets would be the family guy quotes and the Chuck Norris facts

Yeah, nothing can beat that Family Guy quote generator. :D

I've been looking for a 'friends quote of the day' widget for ages. I saw someone had one on the 'what does your dashboard look like?' thread, and I still haven't found it. Does anyone know where I can find one from?
Thanks
Amy

As you can tell, I'm a big fan of countdowns. And I use Couch Potato so it reminds me when shows are on that I've been meaning to watch, but never remember otherwise.
