Any specific (make/model) recommendations? Sub-$100? Sub-$50?? Really, I want something that will give me an adequate (not studio quality, but closer to that than Radio Shack!) voice reproduction. I used to do VO and radio in another life, and I know I can overcome a lot with my voice as it is, but still want to at least start with some quality.
This is for a voluntary work-related project to provide training via podcast on a subscription basis, and I'm financing this personally (though I may be able to expense it if the idea takes hold). That's why the low, LOW prices!! (Sorry, just saw a Fry's ad...)
Honestly, though, if I have to move to over $100, fine, but still as "pocket change" as possible. Nothing over a, say, $250 solution.
BTW, this will be direct to the G5 iMac via the Mic input (but I'm open to suggestions there, too).
