recommended raid card (to save some dollars)

When I receive my mac pro I intend to remove the conventional SATA drive and replace it with two Intel SSDs in a raid0 stripe.

I intend to do this with a hardware raid card. I realize the software raid is good. It's just my personal preference. Have a nice day.

Now ... the apple store has a very nice raid card for $700, but that is a LOT of money, especially when I am planning only on running a simple two drive stripe.

So, what is a good, cheap raid card that is known to be perfectly compatible with OSX that I could buy to make this stripe ?
