Hi,

I have an HD sequence I made in Final Cut Pro and I want to export that sequence back to my Canon HV20 so I can view the final product in HD on my HDTV. I know I can use Print to Video, but my computer (see sig) is not powerful enough to perform that operation (at least, that's what FCP says when I try it). What I want to do is manually record the sequence from the timeline back to the HV20 through FireWire. I have been unable to to this so far; the sequence will not show up on the HV20 even when I put the HV20 into a special record mode designed for this type of situation. Is there a setting I need to change in FCP to get it to export the video?

Thanks in advance,
JOD8FY

You can't playback HDV from the timeline and out FW like you can DV because of the compression scheme HDV uses. What is the error message you are getting when you try to Print to Video?
