Ok I saw I am legend and I wanted to know if there was a way to record anything like that on a mac already or some special hardward to connect to it? Basically I want to record myself playing my guitar and wanted to know what program to use. Thanks!

If you have Leopard, Photobooth can record video from your iSight. I feel like he was using a "future" version of Photobooth in I Am Legend. Quicktime Pro can do that as well. Why not use iMovie, though?

For possibly better quality, any MiniDV camera attached via firewire will interface with iMovie or Quicktime Pro.

thanks everyone...so that's a new feature in leopard? hmm...I guess I will pick it up...does anyone know what kind of wireless camera he used?

I Mac and my guitar

Please help

I want to record myself playing guitar. Photo booth works but it dampens the guitar - meaning, there is no ring, reverb etc.. Basically, it sounds like crap. Does anyone know how to record a live performance on the Mac, and make it sound good?

Sounds like you need to research on HOW TO RECORD LIVE MUSIC, not
"how to record a live performance on the Mac, and make it sound good"

On any computer, you would need:

Guitar amp, USB audio input to mac. It's easier on a Mac.
griffintechnology makes products like these.
