Recorded two movies in Photobooth...

Not to me, and I've recorded many in batches of three or four.
If you didn't inadvertently mute the mic or switch the source I'm not sure what it could be. I do know that if I sleep my MacBook then open it later, my iSight doesn't work in Photo Booth.
I take it you're running Leopard?
