OK I know you are not supposed to do this but my favourite radio program is streamed in RealPlayer. I would love to record these to listen to on my iPod. The quality of the stream is not important, even drop outs would be OK as it is spoken word as opposed to music. But how do I do it?

My only idea is to physically link the speaker port to the microphone port and record in GarageBand. Is there another way?

I have a G4 12" 1.33Ghz Powerbook running Panther.

Thanks in advance.

I've used Audio Hijack and Audio Hijack Pro and would highly recommend either of them. Audio Hijack allows saving as AIFF while the Pro allows users to use it as an "audio VCR" and save as MP3s. I have an older version of the Pro version but even that one rocks. I am running this on an older iMac G3 450mhz running Panther, so you should have no problem running this on your powerbook. I use it to record stuff off of the BBC and This American Life.

Thx.

All,

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have a read but on first glance AudioHijack looks best for what I need.
