I'm going to be recording music on my new iMac using Logic. Can anyone recommend an external USB soundcard that won't break the bank and would be a good match with that computer?
I have a respectable amount of experience in home recording using SONAR on a PC. The soundcard does not need to have a ton of inputs. I don't want the fanciest or the best, just the best one I can afford.
Thank you very much.

A Few Options

While some people may say go with an MBOX I would take a different route. The MBOX only has two inputs and you end up having to mess around with it two often. I say the best bang for your buck is going with something from MOTU. I have the MOTU traveler and I love it. I'm also working with Logic mainly, not to mention about 3 other DAW's. If the traveler's out of your price range check out its little brother the MOTU ultra light. Its also a great unit. If you got any other questions let me know. I've gone thru quite a few sound cards.
