Dear Elcapitan folks, It seems there should be, but IS there a way you know of 'recording" (a music segment) from a podcast (or, if it's a different consideration, then, simply from a website) ? Im wanting a Rhythmic piece from a musical interlude in a talk show. Thanks for your help

Really simple. You've already downloaded the podcast. Just cut out the music part with GarageBand, iMovie, QuickLook, QuickTime or any other tool that lets you trim audio.
