Recording Songs from DVD to iTunes with Wire Tap Pro

I want to record some songs from a DVD into iTunes. I'm trying to use a program called wire tap pro. The program works well, but I always have a few minor skips in the songs I'm recording. Anyone using this progam with some advice on how to best record for best sound quality, the help would be appreciated. Thanks
