Any recommendations for an app that can record video from both cameras at the same time and split the screen in two in landscape mode? I see a bunch of them in the App store but they don't appear to record video that way. Most take photos or edit existing video. Thanks.

It's impossible - the hardware just doesn't allow for recording on both cameras at the same time.

Get a Samsung S4 or LG G2 if you need that.

Has to be a software thing because the hardware can access both cameras at the same time and display them both on the screen. I don't see why it couldn't record that output.

Are you sure you aren't mistaking it for the dual display in Skype / Facetime, the other display being that of the remote party?

I looked at some of the photo apps and it's unclear if they snap photos at the same time. I knew it was a stretch but figured it was worth asking.

Unfortunately, impossible. Perhaps the 5S...
