I tried uploading my first Youtube video the other day. Recorded it in QuickTime Pro. The audio was all out of sync, and according to the YouTube Help section, it was probably because I used an audio encoder that they don't support, and that they recommend the "MP3" encoder...

Now, I've installed the LAME.framework in my Frameworks folder... I don't understand.. what else do I need to do? Shoudl I use other software?

Could anyone who has also tried to upload YouTube videos please advise?

Thanks :)

Use iMovie to do the recording, then after editing it, export it to the highest quality you can and use something like FFMPEGX to convert it into an XviD/DivX or h.264 file which should upload to youtube fine.

Bah, are you serious? iMovie uses way too much CPU and memory power for me to bother...

Isn't there a way to convert my already made files from QuickTime?

Which Mac do you have? My machine is as in my sig and I have no problems whatsoever with iMovie. Just use ffmpegx to convert the files that you've already done.
