If you recorded the video with the volume buttons on top, then it's the same as the habitual problem of photos getting upside-down.

Try another video player, or shoot videos with the volume buttons down.

It's not really Apple's fault but more so of apps that show photos/videos and don't read the information contained on such media files, that says "rotate 180 when playing".
