recover crashed imac internal hard disk by connecting it to another mac

Hey guys,
My imac stopped working and the geniuses in Apple store said i need to change the hard drive. After a lil whining they did it for free, but I have a lot of documents ands stuffs in my old hard drive. So i got the old hard drive now which was crashed inside my mac, and now I dont know what kinda wires do i need to have to connect it to my mac. Plz give som suggestions how do i manage to connect and recover atleast some of the datas from the crashed hardisk.

Suggestion: The USB2 models can be found dirt-cheap. If you want to "think forward" a little, look for one that has USB3. Macs in the future will have USB3, and it will be worth paying a little extra for...
