Hi guys,

My old 2011 MBP died sadly, so got a 2014 model. I used the migration assistant software to port over all my files. But the newer model has less storage capacity.
I wasn't able to port over all my files, but I still want to get those back.

Any way to get to them? Time machine doesn't see my old backups anymore, so I can't pull them back.

Just open the time machine disk, navigate to the latest version in Finder and copy the files manually. It should be self-explanatory once you look at it, really.

That's the thing.

I have a new Macbook. It doesn't recognise any of the backups anymore of my old Mac after I ran migration assistant.
