I inadvertently deleted 4 Safari bookmark folders that contained links to SSD installation in an iMac. Can I recover these bookmarks?
I ran across a MacWorld article that recommended restoring the ~/Library/Safari folder from a Time Machine backup. That folder contains the file bookmarks.plist. Here is the link to the article if anyone is interested:
http://www.macworld.com/article/2452619/how-to-restore-deleted-safari-bookmarks.html
This did not work when I tried it. Any suggestions? I do have hourly Time Machine backups. When I navigated to the ~/Library/Safari folder and entered Time Machine, that folder appears, but the options to restore or navigate to earlier backups are subdued (or "grayed out").
Any thoughts?
