Hi All,

Almost every time I start up I notice in the dock that i have trash that wasn't there when I shut down. The files are named "Office Setup Semaphore"...When I open the file it empty...

What is this?

Thanks a ton.

That's pretty weird man.

Roughly speaking a semaphore is an element in object oriented programming that keeps track of the use of resources to ensure things don't get out of control.

I would imagine this file you're seeing is something that keeps things steady during MS-Office's installation process.

Have you installed Office in the near past? Was the installation successful, or did something go wrong? Do you have Microsoft updates to run?

I always found it a sign to reset pram and solves prob.

Thanks all.

I had a couple MS Office updates to install. I'll see if that takes care of the recovered files issue. Everything seems to be working awesome otherwise.
