Here me out, please! I was out with a friend and ran into my shady, former roommate who wanted to show me his new car. Well I check out his car, leaving my iphone in the cup holder...forgive me I was tipsy, by the end of the night however he and I got into a huge argument because I told him he was a crazy crackhead...which he is. As I go to get in my friends vehicle at the end of the night to go home I realized I left it in crazy boys new car and there was no way in hell I was getting that phone back unless I went beat down his apartment door because I remember my battery had like %58 the last time I had checked and I hadn't been on it all night and it was suddenly turned off when I tried to call it. I drove to the dudes apartment and beat on his door demanding my phone back! ...and when he opened the door he laughed at me and told me I was freaking out over nothing because he was planning on returning it...he hands me the phone without the case, at first I was like okay weird/sketch whatever I have my phone that's all that matters...right, well I go to turn it on and I get the Itunes plugin screen and he tells me he dropped the phone. I'm an Iphone newbie so I don't know anything about this, I was like okay whatever i'll plug it into a computer and pull up itunes. Well the SOB come to find out when I show my friend who was waiting for me in the car the screen and he's like dude he was trying to jailbreak your phone. The guy that stole it used to work for AT&T and is very tech savy and I have no idea what the hell he did to my iphone
I JUST WANT IT BACK TO NORMAL!
My piece of junk Dell Laptop charger recently broke again for the third time so I can't sync it to that computer, and besides the last time I did do a sync was right when I got the phone about 4 months ago. I have so many phots, contacts, and info for work I need to get it out of this recovery loop!
I tried the holding down the power/home button crap over and over, all day at work. I have googled tutorial after tutorial on how to get it out of this mode and they are all for like programs such as tiny umbrella, irecovery, blah blah...but they all say to do different things or the steps are not detailed enough and I'm doing a half ass job installing and running these programs I guess...
I successfully installed tiny umbrella on my friends mac, which also is a challenge because I'm very educated with windows and can generally dig into a pc and fix technical problems like this, however I'm stuck with this mac which my phone has never been synced on, but managed to get into duf mode and was able to make the "fix recovery" tab come available. The data reads something like, "recovery mode fixed please allow phone to reboot" ...and it does nothing except go black as if in duf mode the back into recovery mode when I try and take it out of duf mode, connect it to usb port, or simply just turn it on.
Thank you for your patience if your reading this, I just really need a helping hand. I waited a long time to buy an iphone because...well, it took me a long before I actually had the cash to afford one. Which is why this is so upsetting.
Please, someone...tell me that there is a solution and I can get my photos, contacts, notes, music EVERYTHING!
