Ok...

I have this folder with old burned CDs from late 90s. I took one to listen to it but my iMac didn't read it. I tried creating a disc image with Toaster and nothing. iTunes just skips the files.

It is and old CD with blue button.

I pulled my loyal 12" Powerbook from 2004 that still rocks! I introduced the CD and vuala! is playing just fine. I am transferring the files to the desktop to then transfer it via network to the iMac.

But you see... the iMac should be able to read the CD, it is iso any way.

Does anybody knows why is not playing in the iMac? I was not able to transfer the files, it gave me error -36 I think.

I'm guessing it's the format the CD was written in, with the format no longer being supported.

I have a similar problem. I have lots of CDs that were written in CeQuadrat Packet CD from about 15 to 13 ago on Windows 98. The only way that I can still read them now is to boot up my old laptop.
