I have a backup from an old iPhone 5 that broke that is taking up all the space on my iCloud storage. I cannot figure out how to download it or work with it in any way.

There are some photos that I would like to restore is possible. I have an iPhone 6 now, but was hoping that I could use my mac to access the photos somehow. I read on a few sites that is may be possible.

How do I download this backup to my computer? Then from there, what can be done?

I am pretty frustrated. Been trying to access this backup now several ways. In the Photos app, the options they give you are so limited. I just tried to access the backup through it and it started trying to upload my new photos to this backup. I want to download the old ones. What a disaster. If this app would only give you more control I would have been using it in the first place.
