Recovering photos from iPhoto iPhone ?

I recently had to do a re-install of Snow Leopard and in the process managed to lose my iPhoto library backup.

However my iPhoto library is on my iPhone in the iPhoto app.My question is how am I able to import my iPhoto library from my phone and back onto my Mac?-I don't fancy trying to email a few photos at a time when I have over a 1000 on the iPhone.
