I was at the beach taking photos with my iPhone 4, dropped it in salt water. When I got home, I quickly opened it up and cleaned out all the water.
Black iPhone 4 [Model A1332] Running on iOS 6.
List of damages:
- LCD (Display dead, touch works)
- A4 Processor Chip (Very Minor Damages, Still Works)
- Logic Board (Small Amounts of Corrosion, Still Works)
- Camera (Dead)
I cleaned out all of the corrosion. iTunes doesn't recognise the device.
It's stuck in a "DFU Loop" and I am unable to get it out of the loop.
I've tried using "Tiny Umbrella" and "RecBoot" to solve this, no luck.
Tiny Umbrella Log:
- DFU Device Disconnected.
- DFU Device Connected.
- DFU Device Disconnected.
- Done! Wait for reboot. < Nothing happens afterwards.
Just loops back into DFU Mode.
RecBoot doesn't even recognise the iPhone.
I've tried:
- Rebooting (Home + Power)
- JB Booting (From DFU Mode)
- Rebooting w/ iTunes Open (Latest iTunes)
- Switching Computers
- Switching Cable
- Alternating USB Ports
I seem to have no luck so far. All I need are the photos from the iPhone, I couldn't care less what happens to the phone itself. It would be nice if there was a way to obtain the photos
Thanks for your suggestions.
