Hey all, I just got a new 13" MacBook Pro and I'm wondering where my Quicktime Pro serial would have been on my old computer, as it was -NOT- transferred, but I used Time Machine every day so I know it's in a backup somewhere. Something like 'Library/Quicktime/???.txt or whatever, accessing these backups is no problem at all :D

Also, I can't get it from Apple again in the normal way as my parents bought the key, and they wouldn't be able to go check for it on their account for quite some time (really, I'd sooner buy it again myself now that I have a credit card).

Thanks!

Do you still have your old Mac, where QT Pro is running on? If so, open QT Pro, click on QuickTime in the Menu bar and then select Registration.

That's how I can view my QT Pro serial number in Mac OS X 10.6, but if you have 10.4 or 10.5 on that older Mac, maybe have a look at System Preferences > QuickTime, which seems to be gone from Mac OS X 10.6.4.
