Hi there,
I'll keep this pretty brief (almost) as you obviously get quite a few recovery issues in this part of the forums, from what I have seen. What I haven't seen is a problem like mine :/
So the scenario is, I have a virtually new laptop after I was forced into a Factory settings restore yesterday. My library is gone, as is everything else on my laptop. After fixing it today and installing all my drivers, and installing iTunes, I was prompted with an update for my iPod Touch (Not an iPhone, but seeing as they're very similar and seeing as the iPod Touch part of the forums doesn't have a Tips and Help area, I went here).
After installing the update, I was put into recovery mode, from which I have been unable to escape. I have tried exiting it, however this does not work and I remain in recovery mode. iTunes is encouraging me to restore the iPod before it can be used in iTunes. Is there anything I can do to leave recovery mode? Would DFU mode be a viable option for restoring my iPod to how it was, without erasing the library, allowing me to transfer files from my iPod to my laptop via Diskaid?
Any help would be much appreciated, cheers.
