A few weeks ago I upgraded my 2012 15" MBP with a 500 GB 840 EVO SSD, cloning my old hard drive's contents onto it using Disk Utility's Restore function. It seems that during that process, something went wrong and I was unable to boot from my cloned Recovery-10.9 partition, but everything else seemed fine, and I didn't really end up doing anything about it.

After upgrading to Yosemite, I noticed that the Recovery Partition was still Recovery-10.9 and had not been upgraded to Yosemite. (I'm still unable to boot from it.) Curiously, my disk also hasn't been converted to a Core Storage volume.

I'm considering using the createinstallmedia method and adapting it to recreate the Recovery-10.10 partition. Any ideas?
