Hi guys,

I have a 2011 macbook pro, Lion came pre-installed, today I was messing about trying to get windows installation to boot from an external dvd drive and it wouldn't work so...

I removed the bootcamp partition using the bootcamp assistant, then when I restarted...holding the option key only showed 1 drive...my OSX drive.

So I restarted again and held command and r...and it just boots into OSX, so I go to terminal and show all my disks and there's no recovery drive there either, I don't have an installation disc so what the HELL am I supposed to do?

get a 2GB usb drive and make a recovery usb from the utility

I've read on Ars Technica that the partition can be remade (provided it does y shift the Bootcamp partition into an unbeatable slot.

Sorry, can't help beyond that but I suggest heading over there for some info. I imagine it would always be better to have it on your primary drive then on a separate device.
