anyone has idea how to recreate the springy @ that sits next to the trash?

can't just drag the url
had to save it into html, but even then it's not a @

dragging a link to the dock did it for me. to test, i clicked on the Macrumors icon immediately to the left of the website address and dragged it to the dock. the springy @ symbol appeared and linked to the page.

when i drag that icon immediately to the left of the url, i managed to drag out a transparent square. when dragged to the dock, nothing happens. what am i doing wrong?:(

not sure why you're having a problem

try dragging a link directly from your bookmarks pane instead of the address bar.

Sorry, you have to put it to the rightt of the vertical line (on the side with the trash can). Only applications may be placed to the left side. Hope that helps.

yes it has to go next to the trash, to the right of the divider. should work without a problem.
