I am looking for an easy way to routinely bulk lock/unlock files which might be in a multi-level folder structure. I don't really want to get into a command line chmod situation as, I feel, the likelyhood of dangerous errors in recursive operations is high. A simple app to protect me (somewhat) from command line errors would be great. I located an app called BatChmod which seems to fill the bill but I get all sorts of cautions from OSX about downloading nefarious software. Any thoughts on the subject would be welcome.

Be gentle, I'm a Senior Citizen recent Mac convert with only Windows and archaic UNIX experience. In this case, search & Google were not my friends.
