I am asking when the iPhone 8 was release in September of 2017; did the iPhone 7 RED go down in price with the regular 7s and did it get a have different storage size too then when it was the top tier iPhone?
I did not pay much attention to this, so can anyone tell me what occur. I know the iPhone 7 RED got discontinued but not sure when that occurred either!

I bought mine from T-Mobile, the 256GB red model back in November. It was about $200 cheaper then the 256GB 8+ at the time.

Thanks em2013 and JackieInCo for your replies. It really help me out with my buying decision. Now, I still have to decide upon the size vs. features again. I think the plus is too big but has the features like battery life, dual camera, true HD resolution, enhanced iOS, black background portrait mode, etc... for $100 more. LOL!

I went from a Note 4 to an iPhone 6 plus because of those reasons minus the camera stuff. I ended up going to the iPhone 7 because I found the bezels to make the phone unwieldy and i broke my 6 plus 4 or 5 times. I never broke the 7. I found the 720p + screen on the smaller 7 to be quite fine since it's smaller.

Seems like everyone was doing the big screen phone thing.

I have same device as you.
The Note 8 is taller than the plus.
What reasons made you switch??
By literal terms yes but in reality not really. You get a lot more screen and the iPhone plus screen is narrower then the note 8.

I went to a note 8 now. Just find the plus to be to tall imho.
I have a Note 8 that I bought on launch day and to this day, I still use an iPhone (6S+/7+/8+) as my daily. It's just easier to use one handed over the Note 8. It's just a personal thing for people more than anything.

What it really comes down to with the iPhone Plus model, is you have to be comfortable with the overall sheer size of it. If you’re someone that can tolerate the larger 5.5 form factor, then the added benefits are already there with features you mentioned.

The iPhone plus ( just generalizing at this point) and the note 8 isn't really one handable unless you have huge hands. The huge bezels on top and bottom is a huge deal breaker which is why I went with a 7.

In order of preference in terms of size of the phone comfort I'll do

IPhone X > iPhone 6,7,8 > iPhone 6,7,8 plus.

Ideally the x is the best if both worlds. The Form factor closer to the 8 but a screen size closer to the plus phones.

Thanks for the additional feedback! I use an iPad Mini for web browsing and YouTubing in bed. I was think of combining the two into the 5.5" iPhone 8. I think the 8 is more comfortable for pocketing and for general use as a phone. I am spoiled by the QHD Amoled screen of my S6 and want better then 720p! Full HD 1080p at the very least. I decide to wait to see how the 6.1" LCD will be like and then wait till April 2019 to buy it in RED if it comes in that model. Otherwise, it going be either the 5.8" or an used 8 in RED.

It should have been reduced to compensate for it's hideous appearance. It's the ugliest iPhone to date. I still cringe at the sight of one. :p

I bought mine new, just after the 8 was released, a 256gb model. Yes, the price went down and there were 128gb and 256gb models available.

I got mine because I saved $200 over a 256gb 8. Best Buy sold to me for the same price as the 128gb model.

My wife picked up the Product Red 8+ today. I was not a fan of the red Aluminum back on the 7/7+, but the Red with the glass back is actually quite striking. I like it a lot.
