Hi
I'm currently thinking of buying the Macbook Pro 13-inch, 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics.
My question is: how well will it handle Red Alert 3 (mac os or windows boot camp) what kind of graphic setting should I expect for a playable game?
Thanks in advance for your help and feedback :)

Mac OS X version 10.5.6
Intel Core Duo processor
1GB of RAM
Video card: ATI X1600, NVIDIA 7300 GT, or higher
10GB hard disk space

Should be good. Just be sure to have proper airflow for he laptop. :)

I found that the trick to getting RA3 running great and looking freaking beautiful is to lower the shader and turn off the shadow settings.

Then jack everything else up to max (only exceptions being water/terrain, leave those at medium)

Edit:

Oh yeah, smc Fan Control is your friend. Google it.

If you don't use it, your setup will get devilishly hot devilishly quick.

Thanks very much for your help gents. These answers really helped me out, I was even considering getting the 15" which is very good except for I wanted something smaller and lighter because I do a fair bit of travilling.
Now I'm very comfertable about getting the 13" Thanks.:)

are you guys running the game on OS X or windows (bootcamp)? and if windows, what version is best to use?

Most people will tell you to use Windows XP for gaming but with the SP1 for Vista, it actually helped its performance. I would say if you have 2gig ram to stick with XP.

The macbook pro I'm after will have 4gig ram. Will that be ok to run vista and red alert 3?
Is it better to get 32 or 64 bit windows?

Thanks

With 4gig of RAM you can run Vista. Just be sure to install the atleast SP1. The latest is SP2.

Just run 32bit since you are only running 4gig of ram. If you were going to go higher you would need to use 64bit.
