"Today, RED announced a new, simplified product line-up that makes finding the right RED camera for you easier than ever before. Going forward, RED’s camera line will be built around a single BRAIN, the DSMC2, and three sensor options—MONSTRO 8K VV, HELIUM 8K S35, and GEMINI 5K S35. Regardless of which sensor you choose, the BRAIN’s technical specs including data rates and frames per second at each resolution will remain exactly the same. The single camera BRAIN includes high-end frame rates and data rates regardless of the sensor you choose and in addition to this new value, the streamlined approach will result in a price reduction compared to RED’s previous camera line-up."

Which means the RED Raven, the previous entry level camera, will now be phased out. Apple briefly offered the Raven as an Apple-exclusive.
