I have started to encounter red eye correction problems in iphoto on my MacBook. Instead of correcting the red eye what I get is what can best be described as a 'splat' of colour covering not just the eye but a good deal of the subject's surrounding face.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there a way to reprogramme my MacBook to stop it doing this?

iPhoto is supposed to automatically detect red-eyes. :D

Sometimes it can't discern what is an eyelid or under eye and the eye itself. In these case its necessary to use the manual setting (available in the red eye toolkit) that allows you to resize the remover and do it yourself.

Good luck, and don't reprogramme that MacBook.
