Really curious if anyone has treated a red leather smart cover with oil conditioner/treatment and has pics of it they could post.

their are plenty in the iPad Accessories forum under:

iPad/smart cover color thread
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1115417/

hmm... I must be missing something. I went all through that thread (a few times) and didn't see any treated red covers. I saw Red Smart Covers but none that had been treated with leather treatment/conditioner.

I saw a few tan covers that had been treated, but again, no red leather covers that have been.

I will post some pics up tonight of my red cover treated with olive oil, which I don't necessarily recommend, but at least you'll get an idea of the cover change.

I apologize that these pics aren't that great, but first pics I took with my new iPhone so this is probably my bad. But at least it gives you a general idea of what it looks like...went from an orangish red to a deep maroon. Less oil would have been better.... through a variety of mishaps I totally soaked the cover in olive oil. Again, don't use olive oil. lol.

Very cool... I'm a fan of the darker reds. Thank you for posting the pics; it's nice to see the 'Red Unicorn' in the wild =)
