Red notification dot doesn’t disappear after reading email on my iPhone?

Haven’t used my Apple Watch in about three weeks, and started wearing it again yesterday.

Upon noticing this “error” I switched email notifications to manual, then back to mirror iPhone, and it appeared to fix the issue.

However, it just did it again.

Anyone else experienced this? If so, can you please provide a solution?

Sounds like this is just the terrible syncing that’s plagued Apple Mail for years now, assuming you’re referring to Apple Mail. Unless the app is open badging and emails won’t update in the background either.

Honestly I've found myself getting annoyed at the red dot far more than I get use out of it. When setting up my Graphite Series 7, I just turned it off completely. My life has been much better since.

I powered down my watch, then turned it back on.

Works as expected, now.
