Occasionally my Macbook Pro shows red stripes on the screen - the same as on this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8inzjhF9D8E

My GPU is fine - because, if I switch the graphics, the stripes still could be seen.
However, they disappear instantly if I press carefully on display from the left side.
And they does not appear again after I have stopped pressing.

Is that true that the issue occurs because of incorrect position of display cable that connects display to the motherboard?

Here is what I suspect:
1) when the cable goes to incorrect position, red stripes occurs
2) after I press carefully on the display from the left side => the cable goes to the correct position,
and stripes disappear as the result
3) this issue occurs after the cable went to the incorrect position again

P.S. Don't tell me to go to the Apple Store - just tell me if I am right or wrong

Thank you for such a quick reply.
I have noticed that the display is not perfectly aligned - compared to body,
it is 2mm left.
Is that normal? Could that be the cause of display cable issues?
