Just got a new Samsung SM723N 17" Monitor today, and I've pretty much got it set up how I like it except this strange red tint to some grey shades... Anyone had this before? Or have any advice?

Have you run a calibration (make sure to check the "advanced" box) in the Displays preference pane? That should get rid of most color tints; if it's not working for you, you could try SuperCal instead, which sometimes produces better results than the built-in Apple one.

In general color tints are going to be present in any monitor that isn't calibrated. It can be a particularly severe problem in darker areas of LCD monitors, due to the way the LCD displays dark grays.

Thanks man, looks a lot better using SuperCal.
