Hey everyone,

I have a Core 2 Duo 2.13 Ghz macbook that is crazy slow and has frequent crashes. I use it for music production and it has audio dropouts more and more frequently. But even basic websurfing gives me a lot of spinning beachballs.

I've run onyx on it a number of times, and it always finds a few problems with the permissions, but other than that it never finds much wrong with it. In playing around with it last night i oppened the Console and found it reports a lot of errors.

I'm thinking of erasing the drive and doing a new install. Given that this will take hours and hours, i'm just wondering if anyone has any tips.

Thanks for your help
