redsn0w not recognizing IPSW

i downgraded my 3G down to 3.1.2. from 4.0.1, i have the SHSH files with Cydia.

after i selected the 3.1.2 IPSW, i used RecBoot to kick it out recovery mode and reboot into the the 3.1.2 firmware, but i need a activation can i jailbreak from there?

when i use redsn0w to select the 3.1.2 FW it wouldnt recongnize i used just about all versions of redsn0w, someone give me some advice thanks in advance!

im pretty sure you could use blackra1n instead, to jailbreak 3.1.2. its a 1 click jailbreak solution.

i need the ASL.dll, didnt work i got the iphone past the verification window and redsn0w 0.9.3 recognized the IPSW but it wont load the jailbreak data

iPhone dev-team needs their recognition!
