I'm trying to get it to work on my iPod Touch 2G MC model. So far I can't get past the "Waiting for reboot" screen. Gah! All I want is multitasking! :(

Ah. Gotcha.

Did you try rerunning the jailbreak program to kick it out of boot?

It gets totally stuck actually. Black screen on the iPod. I've tried everything. The only way I can even get the iPod to boot is if I do a hard reset. I tried restoring and still getting the same issue. :(

I updated my iTouch 2G (MB model) to 4.1 firmware and ran the software on a Mac. It installed Cydia and battery percentage. Just to report that it worked on my model iTouch.

Doesn't work on Ipod 2G Model "MC". It gets stuck at waiting for reboot. I check online and everyone is have the same problem with model MC devices. Maybe next release guys.

Yay for the 3g owners. What about us iPhone 4 users with Ios 4.1?

I had to buy a new iPhone because I thought I lost mine, but it was found
so I need to sell one of them. On eBay, jailbroken iPhone 4's are selling for
around $1,000. Naturally, I want to unlock my iPhone in order to sell it for more $$$.

My dog needs surgery.

Could someone please tell me what is the best untethered jailbreak for the Touch 2G right now, mine is currently JB'd on Blackrain but I want to update the iOS then re-JB it.

It works great. Ran it on my Itouch 2G, its an MB model though. Running 4.1 with the jailbreak and it has multitasking enabled.

did it on my 3G but have wifi issues. Have to use wififofum to discover networks.

My 2G is also an MB, currently on 3.1.2 but I'm going to update to 4.X and use an untethered JB.

Downloading updates now, will post my results after I get it all finished up. I want my multitasking and iBooks on my Touch!

What are some good JB apps to get, and what do they do?

Edit: Successfully jailbroke with 4.1, I used RedSn0w 9.6b it was really quick and easier then my first jailbreak with B1ackrain.

4.1 jailbreak is teathered right? meaning that if you reset the ipod touch your gona have to rejailbreak again?
