Reduce Transparency - why are you turning on ?

For some reason both my MacPro and R Macbook Pro both seem to have developed this irritation of 'reduce transparency' being auto turned on / enabled by itself.

Does anyone else have this happening to them ? It's driving me potty having to disable it every time my machines start up.

I'm having that issue as well, I only notice it cause the dock looks different. Since my doc is hidden I won't notice when it changes right away.
